FIRST Lego League
Mentoring FIRST Lego League
Community involvement and service is an integral part of our team. Sharing the love of engineering and camaraderie, team members have mentored FIRST Lego League Teams. These partnerships with local elementary schools, such as Countryside Elementary and Holy Cross Catholic School, help inspire students to strive for success within science and engineering. Much of our efforts are spent helping through the process of creating a robot within FIRST standards. After successful completion of their robots, we volunteer with local tournaments and even have hosted a FIRST Lego League tournament. Our efforts included us assisting judges, managing younger students, supervising time trials, queuing teams, and providing a helpful hand throughout the day. We have received significant amounts of recognition from the FIRST Regional Directors for actively motivating and inspiring youth in the surrounding community.
