Safety and Team 1710 We take pride in being an extremely safe and well organized team. We begin stressing safety during pre-build season by having the entire team take safety tests over machinery in the workshop, both on paper and in practice. We do not allow any team members who have not passed both tests to use the equipment. We also wear safety glasses whenever doing anything with the robot or machinery. We even go beyond ourselves in competition by not only setting a good example for other teams, but also by handing out safety buttons to teams to remind them how important it is to be safe. All in all, we are a team that both practices and encourages safety. |
